Gustavo is an Analytics Thought Leader with Global Experience of 17+ years in the analytics field. He has been featured in best seller books, podcasts and publications such as Forbes. In his most recent role, he led all Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence programs at Starbucks.

Prior to that, Gustavo worked for Schneider Electric in Paris, France managing a global team of analytics experts. He built and transform their People Analytics organization and led business continuity analytics to mitigate the impact of Covid-19.  Also, he worked for Walmart, Inc in various analytics and strategy roles during his 12 years tenure.

He is one of the founder member of the Cynozure US chapter which brings together data driven executives and Chief Data Officers from some of the most recognized companies in the world.

Gustavo is also a founding member of the Leadership in the Age Personalization Consortium which mission is to advise organizations on how to develop leaders that they are able to lead organizations and/or communities in the Age of Personalization.

Gustavo has a true passion for solutions that enable organizations to provide a best class experience for their talent, customers and communities. The end goal is to make the world a better place!

Gustavo was born in Panama City; Panamá, where he obtained his degree in Mechanical-Industrial Engineer. He completed his graduate studies in the University of Arkansas where he graduated with a degree in Industrial Engineering.

Hobbies:

During his free time, he enjoys traveling, outdoor activities, participating in podcasts and learning about well-being and tech.

Based on the current rate of disruption in the world, it is imperative that organizations shift their mindset from continuous improvement to bold transformation. Some of the areas of opportunity we are going to cover are:

  • Why most of the current organizations are not able to adapt to the expectations of their workforce and customers? 
  • What are the implications for corporations that are not able to adapt in this age?
