Mary Lou Theobald

Armed with a BA in education from the University of Iowa and an MS in Organization Development and Knowledge Management (ODKM) from George Mason University, Mary Lou Theobald’s work is at the intersection of human capital change management; information technology learning; user engagement initiatives and the future of work. 

For the past 20+ years she has worked for Gannett Co. Inc, the media company that owns USA TODAY and over 250 media markets in the US as well as several digital companies. In her role as Director of Technology Learning Services she works to champion the understanding of the user experience as a part of system rollouts.  In addition to providing online training and documentation for Gannett software implementations her team also provides consulting around what tools to use to maximize team collaboration. 

In the past Mary Lou taught at George Mason University as an adjunct professor in the ODKM program teaching the Socio Technical Systems and Collaborative Work course. The focus of the course is on the impact of technology on society and the use of tools for collaboration.
